12 ft HF Series HVLS fan for mid sized warehouses and production floors.
The HF1200 is the most widely specified size in the Humongous Fan HF Series. A 12 foot HVLS industrial ceiling fan covers an enormous amount of floor area per fan, which is why it ends up in the majority of warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, and large fitness installations. If you need to cool a working environment that is bigger than what an 8 foot fan can handle, but you do not have the height for a 16 or 20 foot fan, the HF1200 12 ft HVLS fan is almost always the right specification.
A 12 foot industrial ceiling fan effectively circulates air across approximately 12000 to 16000 square feet of floor area depending on ceiling height, obstructions, and bay layout. That makes the HF1200 the standard size for distribution centers, fulfillment warehouses, light and medium manufacturing plants, automotive shops, large fitness facilities, indoor sports facilities, large barns and equestrian arenas, and retail or hospitality spaces with industrial style ceiling heights. One HF1200 typically replaces six to twelve traditional high speed pedestal or wall mount fans, drops energy consumption substantially, and produces a quieter, more comfortable working environment.
The HF1200 uses Performance Engineered Blades on a four blade configuration. Four big blades, slow rotation, massive airflow. The geometry is modeled after airfoil and wind turbine principles to push the highest possible volume of air per watt of motor input. The result is a broad airflow column that drops down from the fan, fans out across the floor, and creates a perceived cooling effect of around 8 to 10 degrees Fahrenheit at the occupied level, simply by accelerating evaporative cooling on skin and product surfaces. In winter, the same fan destratifies hot air that collects at the ceiling and pushes it back down, reducing heating costs.
If your bay is small or your ceiling is low, the HF800 8 ft is more appropriate. If your facility has very high bays, long open spans, or you want one fan to do the work of multiple HF1200s, look at the HF1600 16 ft, the HF20 20 ft, or the flagship HF24 24 ft. If the environment is more retail, hospitality, education, or other space where airflow smoothness and lower acoustic signature matter more than maximum throw, the E6 12 ft Essential 6 Series is the six blade equivalent in the same diameter.
The HF1200 ships with industrial duty motor, mounting hardware engineered for bar joist and I beam installation, variable speed controls, optional VFD or networked control packages, fire alarm relay options, and safety cable.
